I need to upload the new track that I have onto my base map so that I can compare it to my old track and possibly combine both tracks together to make a more accurate track of the trails. I also need to continue to add point of interest markers to my map. I hope to be able to present a rough draft of my map to the Little's Lake Park Association by next week.
I'm not entirely sure what else I should add to my map. I need some advice on what would make my map more professional looking or easier to read. I could really use some advice as I move forward and continue to make my map look more professional and more like the final product.

Hey Adam,
ReplyDeleteYour map is looking great! The symbols really add a nice touch to the map and make it more interesting aesthetically, as well as informative. In regards to your question on ways to make the map more professional, I would do two things. First, like we discussed in class, remove all property boundaries except the park. Second, I know that your track doesn't work with a simpler basemap like topographic or 2D, but we learned in class we can draw in our trails and modify them. You could simply draw your trail where it should go on the new basemap. My thoughts are that trail maps are usually on 2D basemaps. However, if you want to keep this basemap, maybe pick an alternative color to red? Just some food for thought. Thank you.
